Rotary Club of Ibadan Gold Donates Maternal Care Supplies

On Monday, the Rotary Club of Ibadan Gold, in collaboration with the Just Charity Foundation, donated maternal and baby care equipment to expectant mothers at Jericho Specialist Hospital in Ibadan. This outreach, titled “A Safe Start: Nurturing Mothers, Protecting Futures,” aimed to improve maternal and child healthcare.

The donated items included baby clothing, diapers, sanitary pads, a fetal heart doppler, and other essential supplies. President of the Rotary Club, Rotarian Tracey Oloyede, emphasized the importance of quality healthcare for mothers and newborns, aligning the initiative with Rotary International’s focus on maternal and child health for July.

Johnson Emoabino from the Just Charity Foundation expressed satisfaction with the partnership, highlighting the need for basic necessities during childbirth. Chief Nursing Officer Mariam Akinyemi praised the donation as timely and beneficial for the hospital's maternity unit, indicating that the items would enhance care for mothers and newborns.
