Segilola Resources Provides Free Healthcare to 2,700 Residents

Segilola Resources Operating Limited (SROL) conducted its fourth Annual Community Medical Outreach on August 7 and 8, 2026, benefiting over 2,700 residents from Imogbara, Odo-Ijesha, and Iperindo. The two-day outreach provided 2,762 medical consultations, 1,860 laboratory investigations, and 563 eye examinations.

Additionally, 81 residents were scheduled for surgical procedures, and 21 were set for eye surgeries, with 174 free prescription reading glasses distributed. The outreach also included screenings for various health conditions, identifying seven chronic mental health issues, and enrolling 50 residents in SegunCare, SROL's long-term treatment program for chronic diseases.

This year, the program expanded to include comprehensive mental health support. Dr.

Princewill Osuchukwu, Medical Services Manager at SROL, emphasized the importance of sustained healthcare beyond the outreach. Since its launch in 2025, SegunCare has provided ongoing support to approximately 279 residents, with the latest outreach ensuring continued care for new beneficiaries.
