Rotary Club Supports Kubwa Health Facilities with Donations

The Rotary Club of Abuja, Kubwa, made a significant donation to health facilities in Kubwa, providing mattresses, birthing kits, and mosquito nets to support emergency and maternal healthcare services. The mattresses were specifically presented to the Accident and Emergency Ward of Kubwa General Hospital, while birthing kits and mosquito nets were distributed to pregnant women and nursing mothers at Kungabokun Primary Healthcare Centre.

President of the club, Rotarian Nosa Ayemien, stated that the donations were part of Rotary’s commitment to humanitarian service and were based on consultations with the hospital’s management to identify urgent needs. July was recognized as Rotary’s Maternal and Child Health Month, during which the club focuses on supporting vulnerable groups.

Ayemien assured continued partnership with the hospital, urging proper use of the donated items. Former club presidents, Obas Ekeinde and Lucky Monye, emphasized the importance of the donations in reducing malaria and improving community health.

The Matron of Kubwa General Hospital and the Officer-in-Charge of Kungabokun Primary Healthcare Centre expressed gratitude for the contributions.
