Sanusi Secures Fourth Super Cup with FC Porto Victory

Sanusi, a 29-year-old left back, won his fourth Super Cup trophy with FC Porto, who claimed a record-extending 25th Super Cup title. The decisive goal was scored by Denmark midfielder Victor Froholdt in the first half, specifically at the 38-minute mark, following a cross from winger Pepe.

Sanusi played the entire 90 minutes in this match, which served as the season opener for the Portuguese Super Liga. His performance included completing 84% of his passes from 50 touches, winning 50% of ground duels, and successfully executing 100% of his tackles.

With this victory, FC Porto achieved its 88th major title, surpassing Benfica and establishing itself as the most decorated club in Portuguese football history. Since joining Porto in 2020, Sanusi has amassed a total of 10 trophies, making him the third most decorated Nigerian footballer in senior club football history, following Nwankwo Kanu and John Obi Mikel.
