Sanwo-Olu Advocates Ethical Leadership at NIM Anniversary

At the 65th Anniversary Dinner and Awards Night of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) held in Lagos, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, represented by Deputy Governor Dr Kadri Hamzat, called on Nigerian managers and professionals to strengthen ethical leadership and embrace innovation. The event, themed ‘Leading Through Transformation: The Human Element in Modern Leadership’, highlighted the importance of adapting to rapid urbanization, technological disruption, and economic transformation.

Sanwo-Olu emphasized that professionals who do not adapt risk being left behind in a competitive economy. He urged managers to combine strategic thinking and technical competence with integrity and continuous learning, stating that strong institutions are vital for trust and long-term development.

Commodore Abimbola Ayuba, President and Chairman of NIM, reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to promoting management excellence. The event also recognized contributions from past presidents and culminated in the investiture of Dr Kadri Hamzat as a Fellow of NIM.
