Sarafa-Yusuf Resigns from APC After Ogun Guber Bid

Modele Sarafa-Yusuf, the former Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun on Information and Strategy, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC). This decision marks the end of her recent attempt to pursue the Ogun State governorship under the APC.

Sarafa-Yusuf announced her resignation on August 27, stating that she had formally notified the APC leadership in Ogun State and submitted her resignation letter. Her departure comes just 72 hours after the Ogun APC reaffirmed Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, also known as Yayi, as its recognized candidate for the 2027 governorship election.

Although there was speculation regarding the timing of her resignation in relation to the party's candidate choice, Sarafa-Yusuf framed her decision as a result of personal reflection following a period of travel and family time. She emphasized that her choice was made after much thought and quiet reflection.
