SCRiH and University of Abuja Launch National Agric Lab

SCRiH (Scientific Research and Innovation Hub) and the University of Abuja have partnered to establish a national agricultural research laboratory, signing a lease agreement to initiate the project. This agreement follows a memorandum of understanding signed by the organizations and is part of a broader vision to enhance Nigeria's agricultural research, food safety, and scientific capabilities.

The project is expected to commence in 2025, with a legal framework already in place. The partnership will focus on detailed site design and preparation for constructing the facility, which aims to become one of Africa's leading centers for agricultural laboratory research and innovation.

Adebayo Adelek, founder of SCRiH, emphasized the project's goal to advance food security and strengthen agricultural competitiveness across Africa. The Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Prof.

Hakeem Fawehinmi, will oversee the consortium of Nigerian and international organizations involved in the project, which includes global technology partners such as Siemens and K.T. Termann GmbH.
