SDP Confident in Meeting INEC Candidate Upload Deadline

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has expressed confidence as the deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the upload of candidates approaches. This deadline is scheduled for July 14, 2026, having been extended from the original date of July 11, 2026.

Araba Rufu Ayenigba, the party's national public secretary, stated that the SDP has successfully uploaded the names of its candidates to the INEC portal, which is managed by the electoral body. He assured that the process was handled efficiently, with staff thoroughly trained to follow INEC's guidelines.

Adedayo Adewol, the presidential candidate for the SDP, confirmed the party's readiness to meet the deadline, emphasizing that the SDP is a serious political party committed to participating in the upcoming elections.
