SDP Praises Adebayo for Loyalty After 2023 Election Loss

On Wednesday, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) praised its 2023 presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo, and members of its National Working Committee for their loyalty following the party's defeat in the last general election. SDP National Chairman, Prof.

Sadiq Gombe, made these remarks during a press conference in Abuja. He expressed confidence that the SDP would present credible candidates for the 2027 general elections.

Adebayo was the SDP’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, which was won by Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, as declared by Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Gombe highlighted the commitment of SDP members to remain with the party despite challenges and commended the National Working Committee for their resilience. He emphasized that the SDP aims to position itself as a credible alternative in the upcoming elections.
