SDP Moves National Convention to Bauchi Amid Security Issues

Sadiq Gomb, the party's national chairman, stated that the screening of aspirants, including presidential hopeful Prince Adewole Adebayo, would commence shortly. The SDP aims to enhance its national presence and credibility through this convention, which will involve extensive preparations to ensure a smooth process. Four key committees have been established to oversee the screening and convention processes, with specific responsibilities assigned to ensure transparency and adherence to party guidelines.

Air Vice Marshal Sadiq Abubakar Lima (retd) will chair the screening committee, emphasizing the importance of compliance with party rules. The outcomes of the Bauchi convention are expected to influence the SDP's electoral strategy in Nigeria's competitive political landscape.
