NSW Second Phase Rollout Begins June 2026 in Nigeria

The second phase of the National Single Window (NSW) rollout is set to begin in June 2026, as disclosed by Tola Fakolad, the Director of the NSW Secretariat, during a media briefing in Lagos. This phase will focus on the complete integration of airline and shipping line electronic manifest submissions.

Since its launch, the NSW platform has processed a total of 39,039 applications within eight weeks, significantly boosting confidence in the import-export operations within Nigeria's trade ecosystem. The Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) reported the highest number of applications at 30,937, while the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) recorded 7,942 applications.

The platform has onboarded 7,567 users, including traders, import license holders, customs agents, and freight forwarders. The air cargo manifest module became operational on March 27, 2026, with DHL serving as a pilot airline, recording 136 manifest submissions from eight courier airlines.

Training for stakeholders commenced in February 2026, involving 2,990 private stakeholders and various government agencies.
