Adeleke Urges Osun Residents to Report Security Threats

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has called on residents to report any suspicious movements or individuals to security agencies promptly. This appeal comes in light of reported planned terrorist attacks on places of worship within the state.

Adeleke urged the public to be vigilant, particularly regarding the influx of unfamiliar faces in border communities. He commended the Department of State Service (DSS) for its proactive measures against these threats and encouraged other security agencies to enhance their strategies for protecting lives and property.

The governor announced plans to convene a State Security Council meeting to evaluate the situation and the effectiveness of response plans. He also urged traditional rulers to hold council meetings to address these security concerns, emphasizing the need to thwart any potential disruptions to public peace.

Adeleke reaffirmed his administration's commitment to post-election peacebuilding and the necessity of tightening state security against terrorists and bandits.
