Security Forces Neutralize Bandits, Rescue Abducted Victims

On Tuesday night, suspected bandits invaded the Aboki community in the Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, leading to sporadic gunfire that resulted in the death of one individual and the abduction of two others, including Alhaji Tukur. In response to this attack, security forces mobilized troops to confront the assailants.

Reports indicate that four of the five armed bandits involved in the attack were neutralized, while one escaped with gunshot injuries. The two abducted victims, including Alhaji Tukur, were successfully rescued without sustaining injuries.

This incident underscores the intensified efforts of security forces as the government enhances its anti-kidnapping campaign nationwide. Additionally, a new army battalion has been approved for Omu Aran, aimed at bolstering the fight against terrorism and banditry in the region.
