Senator Adeola Awards Scholarships to 5,312 Students

On July 26, 2023, Senator Solomon Adeola, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ogun State, awarded scholarships and bursaries to 5,312 indigent students during the third Yayi Scholarship/Bursary Award Programme held in Abeokuta. Out of over 17,000 applicants, 1,735 students received scholarships, while 3,577 were granted bursary payments.

This initiative, which began three years ago, targets students in tertiary institutions across all 20 local government areas of Ogun State. Senator Adeola emphasized that the program aims to reduce financial barriers to education, ensuring that no indigene drops out due to financial constraints.

He collaborates with the National Productivity Centre to align with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Initiative for education. Ogun State Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele praised the scholarship as a significant intervention for the state's future, recalling her father's legacy in educational support.

Adeola urged beneficiaries to utilize the funds wisely for their educational pursuits.
