Senior Nigerian Army Officer Dies in Road Accident

On March 28, a tragic road accident occurred on the Abuja–Kaduna highway, claiming the life of a senior officer in the Nigerian Army, Major Abubakar. The accident took place near Azara Village in the Jere area of Kagarko Local Government, Kaduna State, and involved a commercial Sharon bus and a BUA Cement truck.

At the time of the crash, Major Abubakar was a passenger in the commercial vehicle. While he sustained fatal injuries, other passengers reportedly suffered minor injuries.

Following the incident, Major Abubakar's remains were taken to a hospital in Kaduna, where his family later arrived. The authorities have not yet provided further details regarding the cause of the accident, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
