Serena and Venus Williams Receive Wimbledon Doubles Wildcard

Serena Williams and Venus Williams have been granted a wildcard entry to participate in the women's doubles competition at Wimbledon this year. This marks their first appearance at a Grand Slam event since the 2021 US Open, where they did not receive a singles wildcard.

Serena, aged 44, is a six-time Wimbledon singles champion and is returning to competitive tennis after a four-year break, following her singles comeback. Venus, who is 45, has played sporadically in recent seasons and has a total of 30 Grand Slam titles to her name.

The sisters' participation is anticipated to be a focal point of the tournament, which begins on June 29. Their daughter, Olympia, is expected to partner with Serena in doubles, adding a personal touch to their campaign.
