Seven Killed in Bandit Attack on Katsina Community

In the early hours of Thursday, a bandit attack in the Sayaya community of Katsina resulted in the deaths of seven individuals, including farmers and traders. Residents reported hearing heavy gunfire, prompting widespread panic as families fled their homes in search of safety.

The attack is attributed to bandit leader Kachallah Fulani Muhammad, known for orchestrating deadly raids and abductions in the region. Local elder Alaramma Jibrin expressed concerns over renewed violence following the withdrawal of troops from the area, which residents believe has emboldened bandits.

The community is experiencing heightened fear, with reports of other recent attacks, including daylight abductions on the Karaduwa Rimay road. Mourning families struggle to comprehend their loss, with community leaders emphasizing the need for permanent solutions to ensure safety.
