Bandits Kill Six in Sokoto Community Attack

In a tragic incident in Sokoto, bandits attacked a community around midnight, resulting in the deaths of six individuals, including a married woman, and injuring five others. The attack, which lasted until approximately 2:20 AM, involved sporadic gunfire that instilled panic among residents.

The assailants, who were on motorcycles, did not abduct anyone during the raid but rustled an unspecified number of livestock. The injured victims are currently receiving treatment in a hospital, while the deceased have been buried according to Islamic rites.

The victims killed in the attack have been identified as Alhaji Dankan, Ruwa Samaila, Isah Udu, Adar Dansisi, Makeri Danlami, Abdulrahama Maryam, and Hamisu Adamu. The injured individuals include Lawali Danjaji, Sani Ibrahim, Garba Adar, Garbobo Iliya, and Muntari Adamu.

Efforts to obtain official confirmation from the Sokoto State Police Command were unsuccessful as calls to their spokesperson went unanswered at the time of the report.
