Suicide Bombing in Pakistan Kills Seven, Injures Twenty

On Tuesday, a suicide bombing in northwest Pakistan resulted in the deaths of at least seven individuals and injuries to 20 others. The attack occurred when a suicide bomber drove a three-wheeled vehicle loaded with explosives towards two traffic police officers stationed at a checkpoint in Bannu.

Senior police official Muhammad Sajjad Khan confirmed the details of the incident to AFP. This bombing followed a deadly weekend attack that involved a car bomb detonating at a police checkpoint, which killed at least 15 people.

In response to the recent violence, Pakistan's foreign ministry summoned a top Afghan diplomat on Monday, accusing Afghanistan of harboring terrorists responsible for the attacks. The Afghan Taliban government has repeatedly denied these accusations.

The relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan has deteriorated, with increasing armed conflict and recent Pakistani airstrikes in Afghan territory.
