Akume Launches Discount Scheme for Armed Forces Personnel

Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, stated that the motivation and resilience of Nigeria's Armed Forces are sustained through continued investment in the wellbeing of personnel and their families. This statement was made during the unveiling of a discount scheme for members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, organized by the Defence Headquarters in collaboration with Zinox Group in Abuja.

Akume highlighted that the federal government acknowledges the importance of initiatives that improve access to essential goods and services, alleviate financial pressures, and enhance the quality of life for military personnel. He noted that the online discount shop, leveraging Zinox Group's digital platform, will provide both serving and retired personnel with convenient access to discounted goods.

General Olufemi Oluyede, the Chief of Defence Staff, also spoke at the event, emphasizing that the initiative aims to enhance the welfare of military personnel and their families, thereby contributing to a motivated and effective Armed Forces.
