Artists Accuse Dapper Music of Royalties Dispute

T.I Blaze, Seyi Vibez, and Shallipopi have publicly accused Dapper Music's CEO, Damilola Akinwunmi, of unpaid royalties and alleged signature forgery. T.I Blaze expressed his frustration on X, claiming that the label licensed an artist's intellectual property without mutual agreement and that his music output has suffered, with no new releases in the past seven months.

Seyi Vibez, who left Dapper Music two years ago, claimed he significantly contributed to building the label's success and alleged that Akinwunmi used profits from his success to sign other artists. Shallipopi accused Akinwunmi of forging his signature on agreements beyond what he initially consented to and vowed to pursue the matter.

He mentioned that Burna Boy had previously contacted Akinwunmi to resolve the dispute, but Akinwunmi allegedly refused to engage. Dapper Music has dismissed the allegations, asserting that the artists are spreading false narratives, and emphasized that the truth should be determined by existing records and appropriate authorities.
