Shell Appoints Elohor Aiboni as Nigeria Country Chair

Shell has announced the appointment of Elohor Aiboni as the new Country Chair for Nigeria, effective August 1, 2026. Aiboni, who previously served as the Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), will take over from Marno de Jong, who has held the position since 2020 and is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

Aiboni, who has 24 years of experience within Shell, has worked across various roles in Nigeria's offshore, shallow water, and onshore businesses, as well as in international assignments in Kazakhstan and Brunei. She became the Managing Director of SNEPCo in 2021, making her the first female to hold this position.

Under her leadership, SNEPCo achieved significant milestones, including the delivery of Nigeria's 1 billionth barrel of oil in 2023. Aiboni expressed excitement about her new role and the opportunity to contribute to Shell's operations in Nigeria.
