IMN Denies Attack Plans, Plans Peaceful Quds Day Procession

Embassy in Nigeria, which warned of potential terrorist threats targeting American diplomats and affiliated institutions. The IMN, led by Prof.

Abdullah Danladi, announced a procession scheduled for Friday to commemorate Quds Day, marking the death of Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Danladi criticized the U.S.

Embassy for issuing a public alert instead of coordinating with Nigerian security agencies. He emphasized that the IMN has a history of peaceful demonstrations and does not require police permission for religious gatherings, citing constitutional rights.

The group plans to carry placards to raise awareness about the Palestinian cause during the procession. Security operations have been heightened in Abuja amid fears of protests, although past demonstrations by the IMN have concluded peacefully when not interrupted by security forces.
