Brothers Arrested for Allegedly Raping Minor in Delta

In June 2026, two brothers were apprehended by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly raping a minor in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State. The incident occurred on Okoro Street in the Third Marine Quarter.

The victim's mother had left her daughter at home while she went to the market, and upon returning, she found her missing. The family began searching for the girl, and a neighbor informed them that a teenager had been seen near the suspects' residence.

The victim was eventually discovered hiding inside a church building. Initially reluctant to speak about the incident, the teenager later revealed to family members that she had been sexually assaulted by the two brothers.

The suspects admitted to having sexual knowledge of the victim but claimed it was consensual. The Delta State Police spokesperson, SP Bright Edaf, confirmed the incident via text message.

The victim's mother has called for a thorough investigation to ensure justice for her daughter.
