This victory marked Sinner's 27th win in a row on the tour, establishing a new record for the longest win streak in Masters 1000 history with 32 consecutive wins, surpassing Novak Djokovic's previous record of 31 wins set in 2011.

Sinner's impressive run includes titles from Indian Wells, Miami, Monte Carlo, and Madrid, with five consecutive titles at the Masters 1000 level. The match against Rublev was notable as Rublev had previously given Sinner trouble, including a victory over him two years ago when Rublev was ranked No. 1 in Canada.
