Berrettini Dominates Medvedev with Double Bagel in Monte Carlo

In a stunning performance at the Monte Carlo Masters on Wednesday, Matteo Berrettini defeated Daniil Medvedev with a score of 6-0, 6-0, delivering Medvedev his first career defeat by a double bagel. The match lasted only 49 minutes, during which the seventh seed Medvedev struggled significantly, missing two break points in the opening game and committing 30 unforced errors along with five double faults.

Frustration mounted for Medvedev as he failed to win two points in the last 11 games, leading him to smash his racquet on the court four times during the match. Berrettini, currently ranked 90th, will advance to face either Joao Fonseca or Arthur Rinderknech in the last 16.
