Sir Alex Ferguson, the former manager of Manchester United, was hospitalized on May 3 after falling ill at Old Trafford, just before a high-profile Premier League match against Liverpool. Ferguson, who is 84 years old, arrived at the stadium and required medical attention less than an hour before kickoff.

Medical personnel initially treated him in the Stretford End tunnel before he was moved to an ambulance for further checks. Sources indicated that the hospital visit was precautionary, and there is optimism regarding his recovery.

Ferguson remains a familiar presence at Old Trafford, regularly attending home matches as a club ambassador since his retirement as manager in 2013. He has a significant history with the club, having managed it for many years.

This incident is not believed to be connected to the brain hemorrhage he suffered in 2018, which required emergency surgery at that time.
