Marc Skinner Leaves Manchester United Women as Head Coach

Marc Skinner has departed from his role as head coach of Manchester United Women by mutual agreement. He had signed a new two-year contract with a one-year option last summer.

Under his leadership, United finished fourth in the Women’s Super League (WSL) last season, missing out on European qualification. Skinner took over from Casey Stoney in 2021 and led the team to their first major trophy, the FA Cup, in 2024.

During his tenure, he guided United to four domestic cup finals in four seasons, finished as runners-up in the 2022–23 WSL, and secured the club's first-ever qualification for the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Last season, the team also reached its first League Cup final and the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
