NURTW Leader Toba Ajiboye Laid to Rest in Lagos

Toba Ajiboye, known as Toba Ijaya, the organizing secretary of the Lagos State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), was buried in Ketu, Lagos, on Tuesday amid emotional tributes from family, friends, and supporters. Ajiboye succumbed to gunshot injuries inflicted by unidentified gunmen who attacked his vehicle in the Fadeyi area of Lagos on Sunday evening.

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the attack and announced that a manhunt for the assailants was underway. Mustapha Adekunle, the Lagos State NURTW Chairman, expressed his sorrow, describing Ajiboye as a loyal ally and committed union leader.

The incident has sparked widespread speculation and grief on social media, with users commenting on the circumstances of Ajiboye's death and suggesting that the killer may be among those mourning him. The police have not provided further updates regarding the investigation into the killing.
