ADC Candidate Manir Dan’Iya Appoints Goronyo DG

Manir Muhammad Dan’Iya, the governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), announced the appointment of Goronyo as the Director-General of his campaign council. In a statement from his media aide, Aminu Abdullahi, Dan’Iya congratulated Goronyo and described the appointment as a strategic decision reflecting the party leadership's confidence in Goronyo's political experience.

Goronyo is recognized as an experienced politician and public administrator, having previously served as the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and as a commissioner under former Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal. Meanwhile, Hayatu Tafida, the chairman of the PDP in Sokoto State, dismissed Goronyo's resignation from the party, stating that Goronyo had already been removed from his position before the resignation.

Tafida asserted that Goronyo had ceased to be a member of the PDP approximately nine months ago after aligning with the ADC, emphasizing that one cannot belong to two political parties simultaneously.
