Sokoto APC Bans Campaign Posters on Public Monuments

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State has issued a directive banning all its aspirants and candidates from pasting campaign posters on roundabouts and other public monuments. This decision, communicated by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Mohammed Umar, follows concerns regarding the defacement of newly constructed public facilities in Sokoto metropolis.

Adiya, condemned the indiscriminate display of campaign posters, labeling it as irresponsible and contrary to the party’s commitment to environmental cleanliness. Adiya emphasized that such actions undermine government efforts to beautify public spaces and constitute environmental abuse.

He instructed all APC candidates and their campaign teams to remove existing posters and warned that non-compliance would result in disciplinary action according to the party’s constitution. Adiya also urged party supporters and the public to report any cases of poster vandalism to the appropriate authorities and the party’s disciplinary committee.
