Sokoto City Boys Director Mourns Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji

Hon. Ma’sud Musa Bashar Rahamaniyya, the Director of City Boys Movement, Sokoto State Chapter, expressed profound sadness over the passing of Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, a former Nigerian Minister of Finance and Sarduana of Sokoto, who died at the age of 94 on July 29, 2026, in a hospital in Abuja.

In a signed condolence message, Ma’sud, who also holds the title of Turakin Wazirin Sokoto, conveyed shock and sorrow at the loss of the distinguished public servant and Sokoto Prince. He praised Alhaji Abubakar for his exemplary life, stating that he was a father figure, mentor, and role model whose dedication to service earned him respect nationwide.

Ma’sud extended heartfelt condolences to Alhaji Abubakar's family, the Sultanate Council, Sokoto State Governor Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, and all Nigerians mourning this loss.

He prayed for divine mercy for the deceased and strength for those grieving.
