Sokoto Governor Ahmed Aliyu Appoints Eight District Heads

Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu has appointed eight new district heads to fill vacant traditional positions across the state. This decision was announced in a statement signed by Sa’idu Maccido, the Secretary of the Sultanate Council, following recommendations from the Council.

The newly appointed district heads include Salihu Kadadi as Sarkin Arewan Kadadi, Isah Gidan Madi as Ausan Gidan Madi, Gidado Dabagi as Sarkin Gabas Dabagin Ardo, Hayatu Dallatu as Uban Kasar Tudun Wada, Abdullahi Muhammed Danchadi as Sarkin Zamfaran Danchadi, Umar Shehu Goronyo as Sarkin Gabas Goronyo, Kabiru Marafa as Ajiyan Tsaki, and Muhammadu Buhari as Ardon Wajake. The statement indicated that a formal turbaning ceremony for these new traditional rulers would be conducted by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, at a later date.

The Sultanate Council congratulated the appointees and urged them to justify the confidence placed in them while contributing to the peace and development of their communities.
