Sokoto PDP Chairman Muhammad Goronyo Resigns

Muhammad Bello Aliyu Goronyo, the Chairman of the Sokoto State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), officially resigned from the party in a letter dated August 30, 2026. The resignation is effective from August 31, 2026.

In his letter addressed to the Party Chairman of the PDP in Goronyo Ward, Goronyo Local Government Area, Goronyo cited personal reasons for his decision. He expressed gratitude to the party and its members for the opportunity to serve and requested that his name be removed from the party’s membership register.

The letter serves as a formal notification of his resignation, emphasizing that the reason for his departure is purely personal.
