Soldiers Neutralize Two Terrorists in Kebbi Operation

On June 27, soldiers from the Troop Sector 2 Joint Task Force, operating under the command of Lt. Col.

Aliyu Danja, engaged and killed two suspected Lakurawa terrorists in Kebbi State during Operation Fansan Yamma. The operation was initiated following credible intelligence indicating a planned attack on the Sabarumawa Community.

Troops from the Army Staff Intervention Battalion 7 swiftly mobilized to the area, establishing a tactical ambush along the suspected terrorist route. During the engagement, the troops utilized superior firepower, resulting in a fierce exchange of gunfire that led to the neutralization of the two terrorists, while other members of the group fled into the surrounding forest.

Following the operation, troops recovered an AK-47 rifle, an AK-47 magazine, and 143 rounds of ammunition at the scene. The statement from the operation reiterated the commitment to sustain offensive operations against terrorist groups across the northwest and urged the public to provide credible information to support ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.
