Soldiers Rescue 10 Abducted Victims in Northwest Nigeria

Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, successfully rescued 10 abducted individuals in separate operations across Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara states. According to a statement by Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, the Media Information Officer, the operations were part of ongoing efforts to secure communities in the North West.

On Wednesday, troops in Sokoto State encountered a terrorist ambush during a patrol in Isa Local Government Area, leading to the rescue of five civilians who were then reunited with their families. On Tuesday, following intelligence reports, three victims were rescued in Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

Additionally, troops responded to terrorist activities in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, rescuing two captives who had sustained gunshot wounds. The victims were evacuated for urgent medical treatment.

The Theatre Command commended the troops for their swift actions and encouraged public cooperation in providing information to enhance security operations.
