Soldiers Rescue 13 Kidnap Victims in Zamfara Operations

Soldiers from the Joint Task Force conducted operations in Zamfara State, specifically in the Anka and Kaura Namoda local government areas, rescuing 13 kidnap victims. The operations were executed following credible intelligence regarding armed terrorists traveling on motorcycles toward Tungan Kudaduku.

Troops engaged the terrorists, overwhelming them with firepower, which forced the suspects to abandon their mission and flee. During the search, troops discovered a makeshift terrorist camp and rescued five civilians unharmed.

In a separate operation in Ungwan Rogo, Kaura Namoda, troops acted on intelligence reports and engaged terrorists in a fierce firefight, resulting in the rescue of eight additional kidnap victims and the recovery of two vehicles. The military stated that the rescued victims were handed over to appropriate authorities for further care and support, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to deny terrorists freedom of action and sustain pressure on criminal elements across the northwest region.
