Soludo Congratulates Adeleke on Osun Re-Election Victory

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, congratulated Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election for a second term, stating that the victory reflects the confidence the people of Osun have in his leadership. Adeleke, representing the Accord Party, was declared the winner of the August 15, 2026 Osun governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, having received 511,067 votes, defeating his closest rival, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who garnered 444,815 votes.

Adeleke won in 19 out of the 30 local government areas in Osun State. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Soludo praised the electorate for their peaceful participation in the democratic process and urged all political actors in Osun to prioritize peace and unity.

He expressed hope that Adeleke's renewed mandate would lead to greater development for the state.
