Chekas FC Wins Badagry Division of Spire 5 Aside Tournament

Chekas FC emerged as the champions of the Badagry division in the Spire 5 Aside Naija Street Soccer Tournament, dethroning the previous champions, All Saints Football Club. The tournament featured fierce competition among eight teams, with Chekas FC securing their victory against Smiler Champion Football Club through a penalty shootout after a hard-fought match that ended in a draw.

The final took place at Lukman Olumoh's Sports Complex in Awori, Ajegunle. Chekas FC was awarded ₦500,000 for their triumph, while Smiler Champion FC received ₦300,000, and Emalju Football Club, which secured third place, earned ₦100,000.

Despite not qualifying for the state championship, All Saints FC's forward, Mose Obi, was recognized as the highest goal scorer and received a cash prize of ₦50,000. Victor Ottah, the public relations director of the tournament, praised the players and fans for their energy and passion, and called for corporate support for youth development initiatives.
