St. Janet Laid to Rest in Emotional Abeokuta Ceremony

Nigerian singer Janet Iyun Ajilore, popularly known as St. Janet, was laid to rest in her hometown of Abeokuta on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, after passing away a few weeks prior due to a brief illness. The funeral ceremony was marked by emotional tributes from family and friends.

Prior to the interment, arrangements included a candlelight vigil and an artist night at AIT, Alagbado. During the burial, pallbearers dressed in coordinated, colorful outfits carried her white coffin, dancing as they proceeded to her final resting place.
