St. John Vianney College Wins Best Private School Award

St. John Vianney Science College, located in Ukwulu, was awarded the Best Private School of the Year at the fifth edition of the Anambra Man of the Year (AMTY) Awards, held on July 18 at the Stanel Dome in Awka.

This recognition highlights the school’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and leadership development. The institution has achieved significant milestones, including winning the National Head Girls Competition in Lagos in 2025, where its Head Girl was named Head Girl of the Year for outstanding innovation.

Additionally, the school was a winner in the Nationwide Inter-Senior Secondary Schools E-Debate Championship in Abuja and represented Nigeria at the UK-Nigeria Debate Championship, emerging as overall champions. Two students from the school are set to represent Nigeria at the World Schools Debating Championships in Kenya.

Rev. Gerald Ogbulikpe, the School Manager, accepted the award on behalf of the institution, crediting the vision of the proprietor, Rev.

Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, and the contributions of staff, parents, and students.
