Stade de Reims Signs Nigerian Striker Abdoulaye Agbedoye

Stade de Reims has secured the signing of 18-year-old Nigerian forward Abdoulaye Agbedoye from Grassrunners FC. Agbedoye had an impressive season in the Nigerian youth league, scoring 19 goals in 19 matches, which earned him the Golden Boot and Golden Ball awards.

Standing at 1.95m, he has been compared to Manchester City star Erling Haaland due to his physical presence and playing style. Agbedoye was also part of Nigeria’s U-20 squad for the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship, where the Flying Eagles finished as runners-up to Burkina Faso.

His performance attracted interest from several European clubs, including Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, and Brentford. However, he chose to develop his career in France with Reims, where he will start in the club's youth setup before aiming for the senior team.

Reims announced his signing, highlighting his potential to grow into a senior international player.
