Delta State Approves N34 Billion for Police Headquarters

The Delta State Executive Council, led by Mr. Charles Aniagwu, has approved the construction of 25 modern divisional police headquarters across the local government areas of the state. This initiative is part of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's agenda to enhance the protection of lives and property in Delta State.

The project, which will cost the state government N34 billion, also includes the establishment of a special police protection unit. Aniagwu emphasized that this approval reflects the state government's proactive approach to improving safety and security for residents, especially in light of the federal government's move towards implementing state policing nationwide.

The construction of these facilities is expected to strengthen the state's security architecture and support the overall goal of enhancing public safety.
