Stop Parading Yourself As Our Member – Ogun SDP Tells Jimi Lawal

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ogun State has called on Jimi Lawal to stop identifying himself as a member of the party. Lawal, a former aide to Governor Nasir El-Rufai, was accused of violating the party's constitution by joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.

The SDP's Deputy Chairman, Olusola Coker, criticized Lawal for allegedly impersonating an SDP member despite defecting to the ADC coalition. Coker stated that Lawal had been illegally issuing SDP membership cards to ADC members without authorization from the state leadership, which is a clear violation of the party's constitution.

The SDP emphasized that Lawal's actions were unauthorized and that he should not represent the party at any level.
