Oshiomhole Urges INEC Chairman to Stop Politicians' Spouses from Holding Sensitive Positions

Former Edo State Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adam Oshiomhole, has urged the new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to prevent individuals, especially spouses of politicians, from being appointed to sensitive positions within the commission. Oshiomhole highlighted his personal experience in Edo State where conflicts of interest compromised the credibility of elections.

He emphasized the need for clear policies to prevent such conflicts in the future and ensure that INEC remains impartial. Oshiomhole's call aims to avoid turning INEC into a "family affair" and maintain the integrity of electoral processes.
