Jos University Students Protest Lack of Accreditation in Dental Department

Students at Jos University halted activities, particularly the arrival of sports delegations for the Nigerian Universities Games Association scheduled to start on November 6, 2025. The students, led by the Dental Student Association (JUDENSA), protested the lack of accreditation for their department for the past 10 years.

They expressed frustration over unfulfilled promises and inaction by the university's leadership. The association appealed for intervention from relevant authorities, citing academic stagnation and emotional distress among students.

The protest highlighted the neglect of the dental school in training dentists for the region, despite its critical role in healthcare.
