Sun King Launches Solar-Powered Freezer in Nigeria

Sun King, a leading global off-grid solar energy company, has expanded its solar inverter systems in Nigeria and launched the PowerFreeze, a solar-powered freezer. This was announced at an event in Lagos attended by customers, partners, and government representatives.

The expansion broadens Sun King’s PowerHub portfolio, now offering systems ranging from 2.2 kVA to 30 kVA. These systems are designed to be scalable, allowing customers to select inverter capacity, battery storage, and solar panels based on their needs.

The higher-capacity systems can support energy-intensive requirements, including air conditioning and entire buildings like schools and clinics. Lisbon Ogunsanmi, Country Business Leader for Nigeria at Sun King, stated that the expanded portfolio provides customers with flexibility to adopt solar energy according to their financial capacity.

The PowerFreeze addresses food spoilage issues caused by unreliable electricity, benefiting households and food businesses that often rely on generators during outages.
