Sunbeth Launches Nigeria's First IFRS-Aligned Sustainability Report

Sunbeth Global Concepts (SGC), Nigeria’s leading agro-commodities exporter, has launched its inaugural 2025 Sustainability Report, becoming the first agricultural company in Nigeria to voluntarily adopt the IFRS S1 and S2 Sustainability Disclosure Standards. These standards, issued by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), provide a global framework for sustainability reporting.

The report, titled “Responsible Sourcing, Pioneering Action,” outlines advancements in ethical sourcing, community resilience, and traceability. Managing Director Olasunkanmi Owoyemi stated that the adoption of these standards reflects Sunbeth's commitment to global sustainability and disclosure standards, emphasizing the importance of responsible sourcing in their operations.

Sustainability Director Oyinkansola Owoyemi noted that integrating these standards into strategic decision-making demonstrates that responsible business practices are essential for commercial success. The report aims to strengthen the resilience of Sunbeth's business model and support the livelihoods of farmers reliant on international markets.
