Super Eagles to Face Jordan in World Cup Debut Match

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to face World Cup debutante Jordan in the first round of the tournament, which will take place from March 23 to 31. Jordan's inclusion marks their first appearance in the World Cup, while Nigeria previously defeated Algeria 2-0 to qualify for the semifinals of the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.

NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau has called for referees to uphold integrity in officiating duties, particularly in light of the upcoming matches. He stated that the matches will be broadcast live, with approximately eleven television stations intending to increase coverage to thirty by the end of the season.

Gusau emphasized that referees must not conceal misconduct and that any poor performance will result in the revocation of their badges. He also warned that complaints regarding referee conduct should be submitted immediately, and disciplinary actions will be enforced strictly.
