Super Falcons' Eguavoen Names 28 Players for Olympic Qualifiers

Augustine Eguavoen, the interim head coach of the Super Falcons, has announced a squad of 28 players for the upcoming 2028 Olympic Games qualifying fixtures against Comoros. The team will be captained by Rasheedat Ajibade and features key players such as Chiamaka Nnadozie, Asisat Oshoala, Oluwatosin Demehin, Jennifer Echegini, and Michelle Alozie.

Notably, defender Ashleigh Plumptre returns to the squad after missing the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations due to injury. The roster also includes several young talents like Christiana Uzoma and Tumininu Adeshina.

The players are expected to report to AM2PM Hotel in Ijebu-Ode on Saturday, 3rd October. The matches against Comoros will take place at the Remo Stars Sports Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, as Comoros lacks a CAF-approved venue for international games.

The first leg is scheduled for Friday, 9 October, and the return leg will be on Tuesday, 13 October.
